Fiber lasers are perfect tools nowadays for cutting, welding, cleaning, marking, hardening, cladding etc. Fiber laser technology replaced CO2 lasers very fast in the last decade. Alongside all advantages of the fiber technology, you still have optical elements like fiber cable, collimation lens, focusing lens, protection lens and sometime reflective mirrors if it is a scanner head. Any contamination on these optics creates significant power losses quickly. This is a good sign for the operator to stop and check the consumables and replace. But some optics are not available to be replaced by the operator like collimation lens or fiber cable. These replacements need experienced hands and proper tools. All SSLS laser tech customers are covered with an experienced approach. We inform our customers regarding the timeframes of the optical services to prevent any downtime.
