Preventive Maintenance Schedule for the Laser Cutting Machine Height-Sensing System

Preventive Maintenance Schedule

To maintain reliable height-sensing performance and minimise unexpected downtime, SS Laser Solutions recommends completing the following preventive maintenance checks at the specified intervals.

Daily Maintenance

  1. Clean the ceramic ring
Wipe the white ceramic ring with a clean, lint-free cloth and remove any accumulated metal dust or debris.
  2. Check the nozzle and locking ring
Ensure that the nozzle and locking ring are securely finger-tightened. Do not overtighten.
  3. Perform system calibration
Run the BCS100 Calibration procedure before beginning cutting operations each morning.

Weekly Maintenance

  1. Inspect the RF cable
Check the cable for kinks, burns, physical damage, or loose connectors.
  2. Clean the pre-amplifier
Use gentle compressed air around the amplifier box to remove accumulated dust. Avoid directing high-pressure air into connectors or sensitive components.

Monthly Maintenance

  1. Inspect the grounding connection
Confirm that the ground wire is securely connected to the machine bed. Check the connection for corrosion, looseness, or visible damage.

Regular completion of these checks will help maintain consistent cutting performance, improve height-sensing reliability, and extend the service life of the system.
